POSITION PURPOSE

The DOS is responsible for leading the sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue, and managing client relationships. This role includes strategic planning, team management, and revenue generation across the group’s properties.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans for the TMG hospitality line. This involves setting sales targets and objectives to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • The primary focus is on driving revenue through various sales channels, which may include corporate clients, travel agencies, online travel agencies (OTAs), direct bookings, and more.
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Regularly analyzing sales data and preparing reports to assess the performance of the sales team and the group’s overall sales strategies.
  • Source and actively manage local, national, regional, and international media visits to the hotel.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for revenue growth and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Developing and overseeing the creation of sales materials, proposals, and presentations that effectively communicate the value and offerings of the hotel group to potential clients.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other partners to secure business.
  • Manages all associates of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the associates within the Sales department.
  • Help develop talents by acting as mentor for subordinates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Director of Sales, Director of Marketing, or similar level in hospitality industry.
  • Experience with domestic sales in hospitality is a plus.
  • Proficiency in developing, implementing, and executing strategic action plans for all sales market segments.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive Sales results.
  • Adept at performing market analysis and implementing strategic steps to improve positioning.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading a team.
  • Management experience leading a team in various locations.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • University degree or Master Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management.
