Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research & Reporting Intern to join our team for a 3-month placement. Based in Vietnam, this role will be instrumental in supporting our London team with critical market intelligence, trend analysis, and comprehensive reporting for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for research, data analysis, and the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
Major tasks
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research using a variety of online sources to identify and analyse key market trends, consumer behaviour, and industry developments within the travel and tourism sector, particularly as it relates to our clients’ target markets.
- Sentiment Reporting: Develop and produce monthly sentiment reports for multiple clients, capturing key industry perceptions, UK market snapshot, media coverage, and public opinion relevant to their brand and the broader travel landscape.
- Portfolio Audits: Conduct regular audits of travel company portfolios to assess their offerings, identify potential gaps or opportunities for our clients, and provide competitive insights.
- Market Trend Reporting: Create comprehensive reports outlining emerging market trends, their potential impact on our clients, and strategic recommendations.
- Annual Report Summaries: Compile and summarise annual reports based on previously generated monthly reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and long-term trends.
- Ad-hoc Research & Support: Assist the London team with additional research requests for clients, including tourism data analysis, specific market trend investigations, and competitor analysis as required.
- Report Creation & Presentation: Design and create professional, visually engaging reports and presentations using platforms such as Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, or similar tools.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in conducting thorough research using various online sources (e.g., industry reports, news articles, academic papers, social media analytics).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Experience and proficiency with design and presentation tools such as Canva, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining strong communication with a remote team.
- An interest in the travel and tourism industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
